[TomTom Navigator 5]Auto change Detail maps

I have the detail maps of benelux and germany.

Now when I drive from belgium to germany I have to drive to border and plan then my further route in the map of germany.

Can this be made that I immediatly can plan route in belgium to a street in germany?

This way I always have the shortest route.

Now I have problems that I could take a shorter route if tomtom had seen the two maps.

Maybe there is a way to merge the 2 (or more) maps to 1 ? .. hmm .. I would need to know this also .. anyone ?

Not as far as I'm aware and in my view, this is a major failing of the software.

Maybe one day.

If you didn't have to go to a minor road in another country, you could always use the plus maps, which give one country in detail and most other countries in Europe down to major road level.
