Guest bunnyman69 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 (edited) I have just recieved another c600 due to have a faulty nav key and the first thing i have noticed is that the screen brightness is no where near as bright as before. I posted a message ages ago when i first recieved phone (ordered first day of launch) and wondered if the brightness could be turned down, many people i have been out with have said "jesus thats bright". It was at the stage that i needed sunglasses on with it and after a couple of texts ya head would hurt as ya needed to squint at it. I'm happy now with this new one and maybe the battery will last longer now as i was charging phone virtually every day and never quite got 2 days out of it. can anyone tell me where the bright control is and how to change (just interested where it is although happy now)and how many days others get out of phone, say working on the pronciple of say 5 texts a day and about two 5min phone calls. Although i will soon find out. Anyone else also have a c600 with a bright screen? Edited March 21, 2006 by bunnyman69

Guest bunnyman69 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 (edited) just seems strange that old phone was as bright as the sun and new one is at a nice level when idoors. OmapClock and TornadoPowerControl (thanks to above post for more info i never knew about) wont install now due to application lock and the orginal regedit program wont open to do anything. has been mentioned to go to orange web site to app unlock it, not looked to far into it yet but have tried to sim unlock too but obviously dont get past the regedit stage. battery life at the moment has only dropped to 75% after using original battery in 4 days, a lot better than my normal 1 day i got from it. After being used to my old c600 it seems a little dull now, and noticed really poor in daylight where as before even on a really sunny day was cyrstal clear. would be nice to just get an app that changes brightness on a scale 1 to 10 Edited March 21, 2006 by bunnyman69
