Alarm problems (QTEK 8020)

I've been searching for a solution for the following problem everywhere...okay, not everywhere, but on lots of places. I've used the search here for '+alarm +problem' and various other variations, but unfortunately nothing came up.

So, that's why I start this topic.

The problem is simple ; I use the build in alarm for quite a while now, but 2 weeks ago, I changed my alarm from 7am to 8am, so that I could sleep in on Saturday.

The alarm went of on Saturday at 8am. Nothing wrong, so far.

Then I turned off the alarm, because on Sunday I don't need an alarm. ;)

However, on Sunday, at 8am -> alarm.....

I then changed the alarm back to 7am, for Monday.

Mondaymorning, 7am -> no alarm....8 am -> alarm.

Mmm...Changed the alarm once again now to 6:45am; Tuesday morning, 6:45am -> alarm. Good!

Tuesdaymorning 8am -> alarm... :shock: Huh?

So...now I'm stuck with 2 alarms....the alarm at 8am can not be disabled.

I've tried several things already ; changing the time a couple of minutes. Changing the alarm back to 8am, and then changing it the day after it...nothing works.

I've dived into the registry, but couldn't find anything that resembled an entry for the phantom alarm.

Any hints?

i've got same problem. i've found, that entry for phantom alarm is in mxip_notify.vol/db_notifi_queue database. i can view database with smartione, but i can't edit nor delete items, so problem persists.. there are programs for editing database file, but only for pocket pc platform, not for smartphone..

Try setting the alarm time to 08:00am and then setting the alarm from ON to OFF.

I remember reading about this solution but I can't remember if it actually worked or not :)

it's not working :)

i've tried setting alarm on/off, changing time, reboot phone, nothing helped.. phantom alarm entry is still in DB

i've found solution! :)

change alarm time to phantom alarm, set alarm on, change system time few seconds before alarm time and change date +1day, click ok. now 2 alarms should came up, dismiss them and stupid phantom alarm is gone (also from database)..

I am having the same exact problem as well...only I have 3 alarms that are doing this! 11:15 at night and 6 in the morning. You can see how this would be a problem. I have attempted the solution posted...we shall see.

I had this problem, I done a hardreset and when i synced it the alarm started going off, so i think it is a reminder that has been set before and syncs to your phone, so i phone up orange got another, it done it again then got another two off orange and they done the same,if your phone has the same 3 faults you can get a drm (a new phone), so i phoned up orange and they said i could have a drm but on drm you can only get a n95 which sucks if you love htc and windows mobile, i stayed on the phone complaning for about an hour and lucky the manager has a htc and i said would he have a n95 and he said no, they gave me a tytn 2 for free, if your on contract its worth a try cuz i loved my e650 but i cant put the tytn 2 down.
