Hey, Just got myself an Imate SP5 and looking for some information.

What file formats can I play on it? What can I use to convert DIVX etc for use on my device? Are there any alternative players other than the WMP mobile ?

yep, search tcpmp into google, it is a full screen videoplayer that plays many many formats.

If your Imate have WMP 9 above, maybe convert divx to wmv will do, try the app like PMM to convert.

I really dislike WMP .. I guess I should have thought this through a bit better. Was hoping to get an alternative.

I've got tcpmp.smartphone.0.71.exe, copyed it to my smartphone my documents folder and ran it. The phone tells me it's not a valid windows CE program ?

lol! your supposed to run the tcpmp.smartphone.0.71.exe on your pc and it installs itself onto your device.
