Audiovox SMT 5600

Hello,

Does anyone know how I can set up mp3s into custom contact ringtones for audiovox smt5600. I am able to put the mp3s into the Storage/Application Data/sounds but the songs only appear under settings/sounds....when i try to customize a ringtone for a particular contact the mp3s are no longer available to choose, only the default ring tones..

Can anyone help please??

firstly make sure you have updated the ROM

secondly, they must be in the root directory as they do not work when storing under folders

so place them on the root of your storage card or the root of the local storage

Have you tried opening up your Contacts?? From there you scroll down to the name of the person you want to assign a custom ringtone to. Click open their file, then press Edit. Scroll down til you see "Custom ring tone"... it's a ways down... after "Web page", before "File as"... You can then choose what mp3 file you want to assign to them.

I had to learn how to do this myself.. I actually found how by accident...
