They pointed out that the article listed in the spam is a number of years old when MSN really were considering charging for the service (.com bubble burst time). As you say, it's a hoax pure and simple.

Sadly that would include half my female friends who insist on forwarding it just incase! AAAAaaaaarrrrghhhhhh.
