How to deal with Sms'es that are on Sim Card?

Hi there... that has me scratching my head... its not only to the imate sp5 i have, but also to an e100 i have.

i have a question:

how do u delete/view/ do things with text messages that are on the sim card?

so far the only means ive seen is to import from sim, but then it does leave all the messages on the sim still...

is there a way to get around that?
