Guest Two Tone Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 Just a short note to say thanks to all who post on here, had my M500 for about 3 months now and without the help of the people on here then I probably would have stopped using it by now!!! Have customised it (the VJdailer shortcut straight to the missus was a plus ;) to do pretty much everything I want with just freeware, going to try that for a month or 2 and see if purchasing anything else is worthwhile. One final item is to have the date and time displayed in the top bar on the M500.... Sometime ago (a couple of weeks I guess) I installed some freewear that did it, even when I uninstalled it too (I'm guessing a registry tweak or something?). But for the life of me I can't find it now... Does anyone know a nice bit of tiny software that does this? I already have a memory and battery manager on the today screen, so this is all I need.. Cheers in advance. MC
Guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 SKTools is one of the bits of software out there that can put the date and time on the top bar. There is a lot of other things it can do too.....an indispensable bit of software. Try it and see what you think. It works indefinitely in demo mode but is limited to the tasks it can do.....but does change the clock on the bar as you want. I have it installed to the SD card so doesn't eat too much memory.
Guest scottb Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 If you want the actual registry tweak, here it is: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell If it's not there, add a string value named TBOpt with a value of 3. Other settings: 0 - No date or time 1 - Time 2 - Date 3 - Date & Time
