Expansion Pack e.g vga backpack

Hi All,

I am about to upgrade/downgrade my PDAPhone depending on response to my following questions:

i) Apart from XDA 2i / M1500, does any PDAPhone have vga/video out capability via expansion/usb port.

ii) Is there any PDAPHONE with usb host capability and can have usbdrive etc.

iii) Does the UNIVERSAL docking station come with any meaningful expansion capability apart from sync/charge.

If the answer to my questions are no, then I have to downgrade my phone from m2000 to m1500, hoping orange can give me moneyback! That is provided M1500 is same as XDA 2i.

Whats the point in having such big PDAs without any hardware expansion capabilities? Still waiting for PDAphone with proper expansion capabilities, noname samsung phone have vga/Video out! I really missed the Hp200lx platforms for those of you old enough.

WRT to the USB thing, there is a commercial app available that turns off active sync on the phone and turns on a USB stick emulator. You select the folder, e.g. /Storage Card/ and the PC can browse it.

A lot of people tend to upgrade their phones a lot, especially the bleeding-edge folk that tend to go for these devices. There isn't much of an aftersales market, let alone expansions unfortunately.

You can do a sorta video out using ActiveSync Remote Display, but that's probably not what you are after.
