Guest sarm3n Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I just got my Cingular2125 yesterday and I'm loving it. BUT!!! I'm having problems. When I try to move music onto the device from my PC, WM10 says that it can't detect the device.....any help? Another problem: I slept in today because I depended on the alarm to wake me up! It only rang once and stopped...I didn't know that. How can I set it up to keep playing til I decide to stop it? Another problem: I hit explore in the active sync program to explore the phone and just copy my mp3's onto the phone like that. Now I can play the songs on th ephone with WM10 BUT how do I set it up as a ring tone? I do not have an extra storage card yet but I'll get one in a week or so.
Guest Pondrew Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I've had the Windows Media Player not detecting my WM5 device before. Solved it by reinstalling Activesync 4.1. As it resolved it where nothing else would I assume it was a driver problem. Best bit is that it doesn't affect programs installed or documents as a hard reset of your device would. There's a registry tweak that can be done to change the looping of the alarm. You will need an Aplication Unlocked phone with PHM Registry Editor installed. Using registry editor go to:- HKEY_CURRENT_USER< Click on 'values' and choose 'script' replace the value data with the following: av0pw3r Click done.(credit to Eran) Alternatively you could just use a simpler option detailed in this superb thread here. You can store ringtones either in \Application Data\Sounds or in My Documents on the storage card.
Guest sarm3n Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 The mp3 ring tone thing worked. Thanks a lot. How do I know if my phone is application unlocked? I do believe reinstalling ActiveSync would fix my problem since I had an older version of WM at the time of installing AS. Thanks.
