Moving sounds within SPV C500

Hi - someone sent me a sound for a ringtone but I want to have it as a text message alert. However it only shows up on the menu within Ringtone and not for New SMS Message. Can anyone tell me how to move it please?

SMS need to be midi or wav format, if the ringtone you were sent is an mp3 it will not be compatable.

Yes, download a programme called Switch - www.nch.com.au/switch - this will let you save any music file as an mp3, wma, wav etc. Free and fantastic!
