How do u back up SP5m before upgrading?

Before I perform the upgrade to the new firmware how should I back up the device to save me putting all the settings and applications back on it? Am I supposed to use a third party product to this (since ActiveSync on smartphones doesn't support back up) and if so what would you recommend?

You don't mate (other than an ActiveSync backup of Contacts and Calendar).

Because the third party tools like SPB Backup, or Sprite Backup, are likely to have a Windows Mobile 5.0 SmartPhone compatible version of their apps available...

...around two weeks too late.

I emailed them to mention this to them, but they were not really bothered.
