WiFi on Cingular 8125 won't work

Anybody had any luck with getting the wifi to work on the CIngular 8125? It seems to not work at all on wirless lans with broadcast essid disabled. And it doesn't even consistently work on wireless lans with broadcast essid enabled.

Sometimes it will associate but not get an IP. Other times I click the WLAN and click connect. Then it just drops to the bottom with a red cross like it is unavailable or disabled after a few seconds.

Any one with the same experience?

I've seen a number of other people say they had to enable ssid broadcast the first time they connect. Once the connection works you can disable it again.

A lot of weird, intermittent problems such as you're experiencing can be fixed by going to Power Management in your wifi settings on your device and setting the slider to Best Performance.
