Screen Quality After AKU2 Update?

Alright I really wanted to get my phone using this new rom update so after changind the CID, I was able to get the new rom that was just realeased onto my QTEK 8300. Call me paranoid, but it seems all the themes especially that I used on the phone prior to the update do not seem as crisp. The brightness also seems maybe a little lower then it was. Is this my crazy imagination? Is it even possible that a rom update could do something like this? Thanks.

I think it has Clear Type enabled. How to disable this??
