ROM update won't load 'Invalid vendor ID'

Looking for some help here guys, I am trying to load this onto Imate SP5. After a minute or two I get the error 'ROM update won't load 'Invalid vendor ID'.

I am trying to load in the ROM version: i-mate_SP5m_NRE_2.6.333.1

Imate is application unlocked, no other processes going on with the host PC when trying to load. I have tried this 4 times, same deal.

Any suggestions please??

Maybe it's because you're trying to load a SP5m ROM on a SP5.

You will get same message when you try to flash it to Qtek 8300/8310 - but there is a workaround...
