Hi all, sorry for posting another 'what should i get?' thread! ;)

I am currently an out of contract orange user with an spv C500 and i spend about £30 a month with them (about £26 is the tarrif).

Now i have been looking at the HTC Prophet (JAMin/M600) and the HTC Wizard (Vario). This is what i have thought so far...

JAMin - O2

I like the phone, but the downside of doing this will about a £30 tarif is that the phone will cost me about £90!

M600 - Orange

Some how i don't think Orange are gonna let me upgrade to this phone without paying a shed load of money! Orange have probably the worst tarrifs now.

Vario - T-Mobile

Looks like a pretty good phone. Its pretty much got the same specs as a Prophet but not BT2 or a 2mega pix camera. I really like the look of the Flex30 tarrif. Does it include any data in that as well?

At the moment i am heavily swinging to the Vario. Is this a good choice and are the Flex Tarrifs really that good!?

Thanks for any help thown my way ;)

All I can comment on is the HTC Prophet (jamin, M600 or S200 in my case). I've just made the jump from smartphone to PPC ...... so far I'm very happy.

I guess alot depends on what you do mostly do with it, 2 or 3 years ago txt messages were what I mostly used so the phone was what I needed, now its email and I have to say the PPC makes emailing a breeze (the qwerty onscreen keyboard + stylus is excellent.

Next huge + is the screen, I had QVGA on my smartphone but QVGA on a screen almost twice as big makes reading webpages easy.

I haven't edited much word or excel documents yet but reading them is very nice and pocket word and excel manage it alot better than the old clearview suite I had (+ once again the large screen helps)

One thing that I do find difficult is texting with one hand (ala on screen dial pad) maybe its my average size hands or maybe its not but I usually end up reaching for the stylus which can be a bit of a pain in a pub etc ...... more practice might help with this though.

Any way, I strongly reccomend the prophet cos you get all this in a very compact size (which was the most important factor when making my decision)

hope you enjoy whatever you choose, ask if you want any more info.

PS- if you thing paying £90 would be bad, I had to pay euro600 for this as the retarded operators here (Ireland) don't even know what a PPC Phone is nevermind stock them!

Ah well. Went for the wizard on T-Mob as the tarrif was the best option for me. £15 quid for the phone and £22.50 for the contract.
