Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 I lost touch sensitivity on the center of my screen. Started out as a tiny area and grew over time to a thumbprint sized area. I contacted imate who told me to go thru my reseller first. Since I bought from an ebay store with only 3 days warranty....they took it and repaired it (new screen?) and will arrive back to me via FedEx tomorrow...all free of charge. This whole process took about 10 days for me to report it, mail it to them and have it back to me (tomorrow according to FedEx tracking). That is pretty good service if you ask me. I'm very please, especially since this is my very first warranty repair ever....with anyone.
Guest coolcatshaft Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Not in the UK they're not. When my earpiece speaker stopped working, contacting SBE Ltd which are the iMate service centre in the UK arranged pick up of the device withing a few hours! but since then its been a week, no word from them, and i keep getting errors on their website repair tracking service. gonna try phoning them again on monday, really miss my phone and its functionality, already got a speeding ticket, through not having the tomtom speed camera warning software running in the background!
Guest fluffcat1 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Not in the UK they're not. I agree, perhaps the o.p should edit the post to 'imate's repair agent in the US is fast fast fast' , because the UK agent needs replacing: http://www.modaco.com/Imate_sp3i_repair_sb...uk-t228119.html Richard
Guest coolcatshaft Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 richard, what was the total turnaround for your repair with SBE? p.s. is that a TT in your avatar?
Guest fluffcat1 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 richard, what was the total turnaround for your repair with SBE? p.s. is that a TT in your avatar? From what I remember it was just over 3 weeks, and bizarrley it turned up fixed the day after they told me they were still awaiting parts?.... came back cosmetically broken though but I didn't notice until later :-( They have a Jam of mine currently  Richard ( yes it is a TT)
Guest coolcatshaft Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 got mine back after two weeks, not too bad I suppose. seems fine, no dents or scratches so guess I was lucky. Pain in the a*s reinstalling all the apps though!
