Guest skimber Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Hi All, I've just dug an old Jabra BT200 headset out of a draw and paired it with my K-Jam. It works fine for answering and ending calls but it won't activate voice dialing or (via the registry hack) MS Voice Command (which is what i'm most interested in so that I can make outgoing calls and have incoming calls announced). Having trawled around the forums a bit i've found a few mentions that suggest it needs to be in hands-free mode... however, the only service listed for the BT200 is "Headset". I've also tried "right clicking" on the item on the bluetooth "Devices" tab and clicking "Set as Hands-free" but this doesn't appear to have any effect. Any ideas? Or do i just need a more up to date headset? Thanks in advance, Simon

Guest eyesi Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 I had a similar problem with my Plantronics headset. I don't know if this will work for you or not, but try pressing and holding the BT headset button until the voice dial app (or voice commander) starts up. This may take several seconds. Just tapping and releasing the button doesn't seem to work with WM5.0 like it does with other operating systems e.g. Symbian.
Guest skimber Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Afraid not... If i hold down the button too long it switches the headset off.
