Guest Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Seeing a couple of good programs & tweaks around here, but how do I install from the .cab files? Do I extract on my PC before copying? Do I just run them? Do I open them with another program? Cheers
Guest mini_man Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 It sounds like you might be new to installing things. Check out this post for installing http://www.modaco.com/File_Installation-t229532.html

Guest xda_gangsta Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 There should be a faster way to install programs! I just can't don't know what though, but there should be a better way/faster way! .cab I think is good but I hate having 2 transfer it over to the phone.. .exe does it automatically I know but it also installs junk on your PC

Guest gunner0802 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Ok, i guess i am stupid or something. I just got the T-Mobile SDA, and I love it, but i can't do anything with it. I can't get new ringtones, or homescreens. Everytime i try to add something to my phone through activesync it won't allow me to install it. anyone know what is going on?

You will need to unlock it first if you want to run unsigned programs.
Guest mini_man Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 If that is the problem then follow the first half of the app unlocking with registry editor. This is a guide i made http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=Attach...e=post&id=17816 This is the program you need http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=Attach...e=post&id=17041
Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Still not had a chance to try this .. battling with router / firewall issues which I seem to be getting through. I'll give it a try later - thanks.
