Guest imatemobile Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Do you thimk it is possible to enable the video cam on the sp5m to capture and stream to webserver just like a webcam or broadcast to MSN messenger. http://research.microsoft.com/mcom/portrait/
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Hi Imatemobile the drivers included in the PocketPC/SmartPhone version do not include the camera on the phone ;) There is a list of PocketPC supported camera's on the MS site somewhere, also I tried this version not long ago and I could not see video from the camera on my PC it does work on version 2.2 but then you loose QVGA ;)
Guest imatemobile Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Are you saying you got an HTC cam build to broadcast using MSprotrait at a low quality. Now that I have a Wm5, should I use the .cab for the PPC or SP2003se, what PPC driver supports video capture broadcast.
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 You cant use the camera on the phone with Portrait. If someone has a PocketPC with a supported camera or Portrait running on a PC then you can watch the video on a smartphone using the old version.
