WM5 notification sound annoyance

I am a new WM5 user... just got my US T-mobile SDA three days ago. Loving it! 8)

However... I couldn't figure out something. I changed my "New text message" sounds to be a long mp3 tone. When a new text message comes in, it blasts through the whole tone and it wouldn't stop until it's played completely. I would expect a keypress on the phone would stop the sound. Can that be done? Please?

This is a popular gripe but unfortunately there is no solution other than using a shorter file.
