Hello everybody,

Some time ago, we opened www.gsm-tracker.com, a GSM location based service.

Currently, the service is running on Nokia Series 60 and Series 80 phones, and we are now expanding to new platforms .... the next obvious choice beeing the PocketPC phone edition.

Since gettting the GSM areaid/cellid is something not as easy to do as with the Nokia phones, I would appreciate some help on this one.

Basicly, download the attached archive and put both files (the executable and the .dll) on your PocketPC. You can put both in your My Documents folder easily.

Start the executable.

If it displays -1, then it doesn't work. If it displays any other number, then it works ... and then please tell me the model of your PPC Phone so I can add it to the compatiblity list.

Locked up my HTC Prophet (Dopod 818 with an Imate JAMin ROM)

No numbers came up - it just bunged it up and after a couple of screen taps it gave up.

Does nothing on my O2 XDA mini S (HTC Wizard)

It showed up a blank screen the first time i ran it (just white, no text). I gave it 5 mins or so before closing it.

I tried it again and it just did nothing, at all! Shows as running in task manager but even when i activate it nothing comes up!

Returns -5 in the middle of the screen of my xda2i

Likewise I get -5 on an Orange M2000 (xda 2s). Looking forward to hearing about what you release; the community-based GSM thing looks like a great idea!

Me too - I get "-5" on my Orange SPV M500 (HTC Magician).

my vario showed a blank screen aswell.... the biggest problem was.... I had to press reset because it got stuck ;)
