Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Theme Colors

Everytime I edit and make a new xml theme the bottom buttons "start" and "contacts" will never go completely black and always gradient to white in the middle. Also, I want to be able to change the colors of the top bar when in the start menu, as well as well as the bottom and top table line.
