Guest Webreaper Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 I uninstalled Skype and Magic Button using the PDA's 'remove programs' function yesterday. However, neither worked. In the end I manually deleted the Skype folder (I needed the 5Mb...) and the Skype registry entries, but the Icon still appears on the 'Programs' screen. How can I get rid of it completely? ;)
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) Windows\Start Menu\Programs Hold down the stylus on the item, and go to Delete ;) EDIT: (i should really think some more before i click add reply) I was also told by a mate that if it says that not all components were removed or whatever, do a soft reset and it should all be gone ;) Edited March 27, 2006 by Laser_iCE
Guest Webreaper Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 I tried that, but I don't get a context menu for the item when I press/hold on the icon in the programs page.
Guest Laser_iCE Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Make sure you are not simply going to Start Menu\Programs, via the top start menu button... Open file explorer from the Programs menu (or start menu, where ever it is that you've placed it), then navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs in file explorer, and you are able to delete it from there ;)
Guest daftveggie Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 I never knew that, thanks, I've been trying to get rid of rubbish in there for ages!!
