Guest mrmartin Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Hi folks I just got a new SanDisk miniSD 2GB card but when I put it in my phone it only says 1.89GB. Do I need to format it somehow first? I have a qtek 8310 so if anyone knows how please tell me. Also I would like to know how to force my phone to use the card for temp files, applications and such Many thanks, MartinM
Guest AquaSonic Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 It is as your HDD! when they say it is 2gb they mean 2.000.000 bytes, witch is 1.89gb ;) Marketing tricks... ;)
Guest Tech Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 this is normal the "lost" space is used for the FAT - File allocation table. This rule is also especially applied to PC hard disks
