Hi everyone follwoing on from the help i got before, which was much appreciated, I have managed to get to the point where mms messages appear to download, the icon comes up in the corner of the screen (brown box, green arrow?) but i still get unable to receive message errors. I got to the stage where there wasnt enough memory but sorted that out.

Im trying to connect to vodafone pay as you go settings.

I have 2 issues that puzzle me:

1. The option for wap gateway 1.0 is not available only 1.2? does this affect anything, and what port is required?

2. When I try and do the following:

Start - Messaging - Media Messages - Menu - Options - Account Setup - Media Messages the media messages does not appear only POP3 and IMAP4. Is this correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

right i have solved it! for future reference heres what i did.

on the smartphone set up guide it says this:

Description: GPRS MMS

MMSC Address: (MMSC address)

Data Connection: Secure WAP Network

Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway

I.P Address: (MMS proxy IP address)

Port: 9201

this actually needs to be the IP address from the settings repository

IP address: 212.183.137.012

it now works.

apologies if thats obvious and is what the gateway thing means but it wasnt celar to me and i thought it might be helpful for others.
