2125 phone stuck on startup screen

Just got a cingular 2125 when I go to turn it on it turns on and stops on a screen with a red, green, and blue bar on it with Tornado and some numbers on it. My questions is how do I get past that sceen to use the phone?

That is the bootloader screen, I believe. To get past that, turn the phone back off and back on. You could also pull the battery and leave it out for a short bit if just turning it off and on doesn't work. Also, make sure you aren't holding down other buttons when you turn it on. I think the camera button is what activates the bootloader on startup.

hmm sounds weird...possibly the phones firmware was messed up in the factory? if you rnt activating the boot screen via pushing buttons i have to think the firmware is messed up.

I agree, it sounds defective. I'd exchange it for sure. Might make sure the camera button isn't stuck down; it probably isn't, but you never know...
