Hi guys,

I have been away from this topic for a while now and would really like some updates on this matter.

I have tried all of the above, some without luck others with a proof of concept experience.

Is there anyone out there who uses this software and which one. What is your experience with it?

We have Skype, Woice, Barablu and the one that only sells to companies, but that someone got a copy of.

Please give me some feedback so I can get a working IP phone.

I use Cicero phone with sipdiscount/voipdiscount for personal calls (56 destinations free). Seems to work very well - aparently there's an update for cicero phone on 17th april which lets you use the earspeaker instead of the loudspeaker.

Thanks for starting this thread.

What is your experience with Woize and Barablu? Do they only work on Wi-Fi or can you use EDGE?

Its comercial software. You need to contact the company to get a copy. However it seems like they won't sell to individual users since they sell through operators. If you have a company you may have better luck (as i did)

And people stop PMing me for a copy, i can't give it to you!

I tried to install Woize and it gave me the error "A newer version of the Microsoft Net Compact Framework is required to run this application". But the latest CF is installed directly from Microsoft. Any ideas?

It may be that it requires CF2 to be stored in main memory. Even if you install CF2 to the sotrage card 99% of it still resides in main memory, so there's no real benefit anyway.

There's a tweak here somewhere how to run .net 2.0 from the storage card. You have to move some files, edit in the registry and restart the phone.
