Taskbar Battery Icon

Has anyone worked out how to get rid of the battery icon at the top of the screen in the new ROM?

I use magic button which has a white bar along the top of the screen showing me my battery power, so I have no need for it this new icon. Plus it only tells you if your battery is full, half full or empty! :?:

Any ideas?

Sorry if this has already been answered btw

I'm the same... I've got the time to appear when in applications, but still ruins the purpose -- I hate the double time presentation, and it was so much easier to read when it was in the task bar, as you knew exactly where it was, and the font/background would always be clear!

I too want to get the battery Icon gone from my taskbar...so far that is the only thing i do not like from my ROM upgrade.

Also, does anyone know how to move the clock back up to the taskbar on the Home Screen? The clock is up there on every other screen, just not on the Home Screen.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, that is exactly what I was talking about ;) Due to the new ROM update, the battery is supposed to always be displayed there, with an option to override the battery with the time when you are NOT on the Today Screen. The reason for this, is that why would you want to see two clocks when you're on the Today Screen? Obviously, there are a lot of us that want to get rid of the one that is display on the actual Today Screen, however, from what I know, no one has found out how yet...

damn, was hoping the answer laid within. anyone found out this? I also agree the ridiculously useless battery indicator in the task bar has to go! What the hell were the developers thinking? This, and the clock being moved out is a big step backwards.

there's some kind of registry tweak to bring the clock back but i couldn't find the registry key that the tut told me should be there... must be version specific or summat...

think it was this tut: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/05/10/d...tery-indicator/

(but don't blame me if it doesn't work!!!) :)

as for the today clock, dunno bout you guys but i got rid of it by going to the 'today' settings, then 'items' then unchecking 'date'...

(sorry if that's stating the obvious) :P

hope that helps some...
