Guest dleasman Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I installed W411y's new XP Grass home screen on my recently flashed SDA (iMate firmware). Well, I also installed the "Extra Grass Screens" cab file. This totally locked me out of my start menu. I could launch IE, or make a call, or speed dial, but other than that, I was stuck on the home screen and the start button did nothing. What I did to fix it, and this could come in handy for other things too... I connected to my pc, and went in through explorer. I made a copy of the Settings link file in the start menu, and renamed it to Short_AP1 and dropped it into the windows folder. This allowed me to get into the start menu by pressing the T-Zones key, and then I was able to get into remove programs and uninstall the evil cab! Back in business... But there was an hour of panic there, thinking I was going to have to do a hard reset!
