Problems mapping network drives

This is getting really frustrating now

Basically ive got a windows 2003 domain, with some shared folders on the server. These can be accessed by domain users and non domain users with the right credentials. So everything there is set up right, has been for ages

Today got my Vario, got wi-fi working (can browse the net and terminal services into my server) and now trying to map some drives or even just access some shared folders in Resco file explorer, and it just wont let me

When I go to map network drive, my desktop PC comes up and also the server - twice (why this is i dont know). When I try to connect, I get the prompt for credentials, in which I put valid ones - ive tried loads, users, admins, special accounts just for the vario - and i get the error "Cannot connect shared path. Unknown Error"

If i put in a UNC path, one i know to be correct, I get the credentials screen again, which I put my credentials in again, and I then get the error "Cannot map network path. Network resource cannot be found or you do not have a permission to access the network. Contact your system administrator"

Also dont understand why public shares arnt just displayed under the server, I shouldnt need to authenticate just to see a list of public shares!

This is so frustrating, everything is fine, the Vario has an IP address, I can ping it by hostname and IP so connectivity seems fine.

Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried using no username/password? I've found that mine works just fine without a user/pass... Okay, so I understand that you've obviously got some security and what-not happening, as do I, but it just likes to work ;) I know that you should be able to access your shared drives via \\\ in resco... Can you please verify whether or not simply accessing them works?

If it doesn't decide to work in Resco Explorer, try in the default File Explorer, by going to the same path, \\

strangely, when i try by ip address (\\192.168.1.4\sharename) i get a network resource not found message after a few seconds delay, while by unc path (\\server\share) i get the prompt for username

Did you ever solve this? I have the exact same problem on my M600 - it worked on my old iPAQ fine (WM2003) but on the M600 I just get a recurring logon dialog ;)
