Guest rockykabir Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) OMG!! I best put my 360 on ebay.... TOKYO, April 1st (Reuters) - Reports arise of the latest in a line of extraordinary twists of the PS3 release date saga. Last week at the 2006 Playstation Business Briefing, Ken Kutaragi explained that the supposed PS3 delay was due to problems with the finalization of the next-gen Blu-ray discs. However it seems that this announcement was a cover up to distract the world's media of Sony's secret operation to produce the final set of consoles prior to friday's release date. News of Sony's surprise move has been causing waves among the gaming industry. The corporate vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB) sector, Mr Peter Moore, was unavailable to comment. Insiders have said that this somewhat unexpected revelation has caused Microsoft to rethink their approach to the industry in the coming months. In this afternoon's keynote, Sony Computer Entertainment President Phil Harrison is expected to disclose several key details about the device and the newly designed controller which is expected to extensively emulate several key features of Nintendo's future console (codenamed the Revolution). The imaginatively entitled DualShock III is wildly rumoured to be shaped as a round ball which can be split into two to allow for motion sensing interactivity. To the shock of the design unit within the PS3 team, the photographs of the innovatively shaped controller were leaked on several popular technology blogs and websites on the net two weeks ago. These have since been taken down. The following is an artist's impression of the DualShock III: Edited April 1, 2006 by rockykabir
