tomtom mobile on imate sp5m, please help

I will shortly be driving from Sweden to UK using tomtom mobile but can you please tell me how you can plan a route using several maps if indeed this is possible.

I was quite supprised - i only have the german map loaded , but when i put in an english address - or spanish - in fact anywhere in europe my tomtom mobile navigates me there. There must be major roads of europe included in all the maps.
