Xda Mini S - Wireless Problem

Hi to everyone on the forum, I would appreciate it if someone with some decent xda mi skills can help me out.......

I have ben trying to connect to a number of unsecured networks in range of

my xda but can never connect. I can connect through my laptop so I guess it can't be a MAC address problem??

My eyes are going square trying to sort this problem out so any advice woud be great. ;)

I've managed to connect to the unsecured network now by running a CAB that enables 11g on the wireless, however I still can't access the internet, I get a message saying "cannot connect with current connection settings"

I've set the connections to My Work Network and ticked the "this network connects to the internet" box but still no joy, can anyone help? cheers
