O2 payg and C600

I have set up my C600 with an O2 payg sim.

Everything seems OK apart from one problem.

I dial Show Balance, and the INFO and "wait" are displayed with the exclamination sound effect.

The sound effect goes again and rather than the "your balance is £99.99" I get wNAo ajA£()()£@@.

Anyone had the same problem

I copied my old pay&go settings from my c500 to my new c600 and encountered both the above problems (MIME message and balance)

I can download CAB files from the net (e.g. Smart M:Panel software) but cant browse websites.

Has anyone encountered and resolved these issues?
