Guest Webreaper Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Found a problem with the email client on the Wizard (the WM5 email client). I've tried to put in my hotmail address ([email protected]) as a recipient address, but when I sent it I get "invalid recipient"!!! It's definitely the mail client, as I can sent to other addresses, and I can send emails to that address using the webmail client my ISP provices.... I thought it might be a problem with the underscore, but I've sent emails to other addresses with underscores, and the same issue happens with the email address linked on this page (the address is [email protected])!! Very odd!!! Anyone else seen it?

They've been having problems with new servers and I've had the same message trying to send to any orange.net address from my M500. I have been able to access my hotmail.co.uk address ok though. I can send and receive on my PC as normal too.
Guest PayableOnDeath Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I have been getting this on non-hotmail address's that are a forwarder email address Eg [email protected] is forwarded to [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] which is a big problem for as when we reply to questions i cant send a copy back the sales account so that other people know its been replyed to ;) only started the other week for me

Guest Webreaper Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Another question on the same lines: is it possible to change the port the WM5 email client uses? Port 25 is blocked at work, so I'd like to use an alternate port which is available on my mailserver - but I can't see any options for the port in the account setup. Is there a reg hack?
