Guest loki666 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Does anyone know how to enlarge or move the contact picture when receiving a phone call? Currently it's very small and not really useful when viewing to see who is calling. Thanks in advance.
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 It isn't yet possible with WM05 phones ;)

Thanks in advance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can not be moved or enlarged, but, you can maximize the viewable area by making your contact photos portrait, and not landscape. There is a maximum width that can be displayed. I do not know the aspect ratio, or maximum size, but if I had to guess, I would say it's 1:2, meaning that the ratio is more like A4 paper in landscape than standard letter, if that makes sense. Anyway, tall, thin pictures or company logos will show much larger than a wide graphic. Hope this helps. -Dana
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip ;)
Guest loki666 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Thanks both of you for your info and the tip too! ;)
Guest Lobojpm Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Thanks dleasman, I wasn't aware of that tip either... I have been scouring the net looking for discussions of this limitation in WM5 for a while, and hadn't seen that. I tried a couple of different aspect ratios, and what worked well for me was to just use the phone's QVGA resolution/aspect ratio. I sized it at 240 pixels wide x 320 pixels tall, and that helped things a little. I'll work on setting my photo contacts as "portrait" orientation as a temporary fix... I still REALLY HOPE that there is an update or some software that comes out soon that lets the photo caller ID go full screen! My #1 request these days...! -Lobojpm

Guest darkrival Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I dont know of any registry entries or a quick fix but there are programs which let you use any pictures on your phone for caller ID purposes. Check out these programs. They offer trial versions but im sure there're other free programs out there with similar functionality. Photo Contacts Eye on Call

Photo Contacts Eye on Call <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've seen those, but I would prefer something that was free, or an easy adjustment I could do myself with someone's help.
