Tmobile SDA Wifi & GPRS trouble pls help

I just recently purchased a Tmobile SDA. I do not have the internet plan

through Tmobile I only use wifi for all of my internet and email use. The problem

I am running into is when I have wifi turned on, the phone still tries to connect through

GPRS. I see the small G come on over the signal bars. I then get a error

saying (cannot connect, verify you have network coverage). I know i have a good wifi connection

can anyone give me some ideas to try. Thanks ahead Bobby
