Guest mjoyeux Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 My c600 has stopped wanting to work via USB... It just won't sync up with my computer, it makes a "duh duh" style noise, instead of the traditional "do do doo" noise. (What a technical line) The green activ sync circle just remains grey and when I run the find connections wizard, it can't find my device... I don't use it for sync up email with Outlook, except for Calender and Contacts, just for it to show up in my computer... Any help would be massively appreciated... Cheers
Guest Tech Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 make sure you reboot the movile device, if you havent already - and make sure bluetooth is disabled when trying to connect via USB as well is this, you may need to uninstall then reinstall activesync (do not re-install on top of) see hwat happens ;)
Guest kam_ Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 and you havn't activated modem link by any chance have u?
Guest Crispy Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 You could try bugshooting by installing WM5torage on it and see if that works... If it doesn't it would point at some USB error somewhere, if it does, then it's probably activesync which is in limbo... also, if you only use USB for file transfers, WM5torage is much neater in my opinion too.
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 My solution to the same problem was to uninstall ActiveSync and delete all partnerships etc, do a file search to remove everything with ActiveSync in the name (apart from the installer) then reboot both PC & phone, reinstall ActiveSync and create a new partnership. It took several goes, mind you.
