In their infinite wisdom we in the UK cannot use the official download version. It's the sort of thing that makes you google for a 'special' version. :) Richard

Guest Pondrew Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Kind of strange don't you think? Do you think the delay is of HPs making or Microsofts?
Guest fluffcat1 Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Kind of strange don't you think? Do you think the delay is of HPs making or Microsofts? Hp's defo. The rom *is* out, it ( international english) is available to download via hp.com after purchase if you are US based, so I think they just haven't made any CD's yet.... cheaper too from the US. Now where's that ip annonymizer? :) The UK timeframe's just got worse but at least now they let you register to find out when it's ready... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows Mobile 5.0 Upgrade: hx4700 English New Stock Due 28-Jun
Guest fluffcat1 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 (edited) Yay! 4 days after adding myself to the waiting list I got an email saying limited stock was available. So it's on it's way. Still out of stock on the main site mind... http://www.ipaqchoice.com/productinfo.aspx...mp;Name=Windows Richard Item Purchased Value Windows Mobile v5.0 Upgrade hx4700 (English) Edited June 21, 2006 by fluffcat1
Guest fluffcat1 Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 (edited) Arrived this morning on a pre-9am special delivery. Not bad for ordering 11pm wed night. Includes a new full paper manual (?) as well as a Windows Mobile 5 COA product sticker to fit to the device. Might just go for that new casing before sticking it on as it's looking a bit tatty... Installing now, standard HTC PPC upgrade package, only difference is HP logo and percentage complete is to .1% Richard Edited June 24, 2006 by fluffcat1
