Guest RiCoCheT Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Hi. HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got my SPV c600 yesterday and managed to break it by tweaking too much with the registry, got to a stage where it would power up to the home screen, but do nothing else, so in my wisdom, decided to upgrade the rom to the latest with AKU2. Unfortunately I didnt think of doing a hard reset before upgrading... ... Is there anyway to downgrade this to the rom which it was shipped with? Wish I hadnt updated, Ive searched the web, but had no luck in finding anywhere that has a prev rom. Anyone else having the same problem? Any ideas? Thanks in advance..
Guest rekall Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 I asked Orange the same question - they said 'no way' you will have to get a new handset ;)

A new handset as in, we can replace this for you or you will have to buy another one? Thanks for the prompt reply.
Guest kam_ Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Why do you want to downgrade it? Upgrading the ROM should have 'hard reset' it to the new rom? Or you just don't like the new ROM? I think it is possible to downgrade if you can find the flasher for the original ROM. You then need to edit one file in there so it doesn't realise its an older version.

Suppose once Parott update the firmware for the CK3300 GPS kit to WM5, that will be the real test... Well I learn the hard way... If anyone does manage to find a simple downgrade process, please do tell..
Guest kam_ Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 but i thought unlocking with the developers site was free?
