Guest cochon99 Posted April 8, 2006 Report Posted April 8, 2006 Hi, Does the above registry editor work for anyone on this device ? Looking around, to remove the T-Mobile branding particularly from the keypad seemingly requires this certificate signed editor to change for example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 On my device the program runs but only displays the top level hives, no drill down + signs and no key values ? Other posts suggest this application does run on other WM5 based devices... any ideas or alternative registry hacking suggestions ?? Cheers.
Guest pjam001 Posted April 8, 2006 Report Posted April 8, 2006 Just to confirm, it runs fine on my compact II. Just tried navigating to the area you wanted and can see the values no problem. At least now you know to keep trying it, it does work.
Guest dave106 Posted April 8, 2006 Report Posted April 8, 2006 works for me too, what version no have you got installed? that reg hack will disable smartdialling by the way.
Guest cochon99 Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 Thanks for the responses, checking the version number and it's staring me in the face, V0.7..... for SmartPhone. Downloading the same version but for Pocket PC and all works fine. Will have to decide if I can live without the intellidialler. At least with this regeditor I can change the bitmap files used for the buttons whilst keeping the T-Mobile dialler dll, have a nice green dial button now :) It's really the pink and grey rectangles on plain white background that annoys me, it looks like the kind of skin the developers knocked up in 5 minutes to test the software, not the kind of thing you would release as corporate branding, it just makes me cringe every time I make a call. Cheers.
