How to get rid of system files

I have discovered an easy way to get rid of system files like all the Orange crap in the home directory on an out of the box SPV C600.

Create blank text files with the same name as the file you want to delete, ie homescreen.dll, orange.scheme.xml, etc using wordpad, smart explorer or on the PC and activesync them to a diffrent folder nearby. then using the built in file explorer copy the files to the directory with the system files you want to delete and overwrite them, then simply delete the new files.

This has worked on every file i tried it on and my phone isn't even application unlocked yet.
