Guest thenext1 Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 I've been trying listening to shoutcast radio with TCPMP (version 0.71) on my phon using the wifi connection. But even if the signal reception is full, after 30-40 seconds of normal playback all the whole thing gets jammed up and lags behind itself... then it stops trying to rebuffer... then it just lags as before, and so on. One time TCPMP managed even to freeze the phone completely. The radio im' listening to is a 128kbps stream, my internet bandwidth is 1280kbps (and I succesfully listen to Shoutcasts on my pc with realplayer). I don't think it's a processor or bandwidth issue, I can do other things while listening and the phone doesn't slow down. I tthink it's more of a tcpmp issue. Is there an alternative to the tcpmp's buggy playback? thanks bye bye
Guest hyedipin Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 This is very strange, I was using wmp to access mms:// live TV broadcasts and they always work fine, normally between 20 and 60 kbps. Try using 64kbps broadcast, see if it works. Plus your internet connection speed doesn't mean what you get with your wi-fi. Check your router to see how it is set up. Good Luck ;) Let us know if you solve it.
