ActiveSync email alerts

Hi all,

My MDA Vario is polling my corporate Exchange Server every 5 mins (thanks to T-Mobile Web 'n' Walk!) for any new email. I have a number of rules that run server-side to move my email into subfolders so it doesn't clog up my inbox.

However, this seems to cause some interesting behaviour on my phone. If I have an email waiting on the server in a subfolder, when it is downloaded onto my device it doesn't cause an alert to be triggered as WM seems to only look at the root inbox. Does anyone know if there is anyway to force WM to look below to root folder? At the moment I keep having to check my phone manually to see if I have any mail... ;)
