Guest TmB Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Hi folks, I have a weird issue with my SP5 phone. I did the ROM upgrade about 3 weeks ago (along with everyone else here!), but a weird problem has manifested itself. Every couple of days (usually first thing in the morning), my phone goes into a weird phase where nothing seems to work properly. When I hit "Start", I get the message "Cannot find :MSStart or one if its components. Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available". When I hit "Contacts", I get "Cannot find :MSContacts....." Quick Dial gives me "Cannot find :MSCDial..." Running any regular program gives me "Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate". Restarting the phone puts everything back to normal. Anyone got any idea whats up? Thanks in advance.....

I assumed it was due to me "tweaking" too much, so in my wisdom, i upgraded to orange's new rom with AKU2..woahh, big mistake..if i hadnt panicked, i would have hard reset the device and have a spv c600 with no problems, running various tweaks and no AKu2 locked down phone.. hope this helps, maybe, maybe not.. Guest maniac103 Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I think you should upgrade your xBar to the latest version (3.2) ;)

The one thing I forgot to mention was that when I did reboot, XBar wouldn't start automatically (I'd have to start it manually). Must have a look around the XBar forums and see what David is up to.... Thanks maniac103. - Dave.
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 I don't think it's anything to do with installed software. I get this on my C600. It had the latest ROM on fresh from Orange a month or two ago, and everynow and again when I go to use the phone I get the: "Cannot find :MSStart or one if its components. Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available". "Cannot find :MSContacts....." "Cannot find :MSCDial..." "Cannot find :MSQuickApp..." A soft reset fixes it, but to rest it I have to pull the battery as the top button gives an error too. I'd get in touch with Orange, but as it's a replacement for a faulty phone already, no doubt they'll say they are all like that, and i'd have to send it to HTC (even though this phone itself is only a couple of months old).
Guest jeffogden Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 I am getting a different problem. I just recently bought the 2125 and upgraded the ROM. Now When I try to access my Setting and I open "Profiles" I get an error, "The Settings could not be opened." I get this some other setting as well. I'm a newbie when it comes to SP5 so please explain things in lamens terms. Thank you, Jeff Ogden
