Motorola MPx220 Unlocked?

I recently purchased a MPx 220 that I believe is locked to Cingular however I

that doesn't sound normal.. hmmm in your network settings choose find network automatically, or try manually and then choose the network after you click 'find new network' or something. I hope that helps but it should stay on a network if it connects the first time. Try calling your carrier too! Hope it works! ;)

It's odd...while it does show it can find a connection (there are bars in the top) it wont list any...Any thoughts?
