Guest ivanmmj Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Ok, so I set up my MDA with a proxy and specific ports so that I can access the internet through tmobile's cheaper plan (granted I can't access the WHOLE internet....) but whenever I try to use the Wifi, in order for it to work, I have to go in a delete all the proxy stuff then re-establish the proxy stuff once I want to use GPRS again (which is often)... Is there a way to have your cake and eat it? Can I have GPRS set up and still get wifi access without conflicts? Is there a software that would change all the proxy info with the tap of a button for me? Enable Wifi, disable proxy+port. Disable wifi, enable proxy+port. Thanks.
Guest jimbouk Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 I think this is where you use the "exceptions" settings in connections. You can then use the proxy in gprs and not in wifi.
Guest ivanmmj Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 I don't understand how. Can you give me an example? Would I give my IP address an exception? (Although, that would make no sense. lol)
Guest saku Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I would like to know this as well! When i switch off my gprs proxy wifi works with no problems. But with the proxy turned on, wifi tries to use this proxy as well. Anyone?
