Vario fails to connect using WiFi

Picked up a Vario today and I am quite impressed. I have a M600 and M2000 but I think the Vario is the best design.

The shop didn't have time to set up GPRS so I had to play around with it but it's ok now.

The Vario can see my wireless network but it doesn't connect. I have tried with WEP on and off. My M600 & M2000 connect ok.

My access point is currently set to mixed b/g mode.

My plan is to hack the registry once I have had a b connection to get g. I have seen that some newer ROM's don't permit the 802.11g hack.

Device info is:

ROM 1.6.2.4 WWE date 15/11/05

Radio 01.12.10

Protocol 4.0.13.23

ExtROM 1.6.2.105

Any clues as to why I can't connect and will this ROM permit the 802.11g hack?

If not where can I find an older ROM?
