HTC Hurricane colour change

After following flufcat1's instructions here how to remove the housing for the hurricane http://www.modaco.com/Removing_C550_cover_...ty-t230570.html

I felt a colour change might be worth a try

After the phone is stripped down to the 3 housing parts (front metal part, ariel cover and battery cover) it will all need sanding back to bare materials, I started off with P240 then P800 and finally P1200 before the primer coat.

The Windows logo off the back was removed with a box cutter blade and sanded to be totally flat.

For the spraying you'll need 2 coats of primer, sanded with 1200 grit paper between coats, once this is dry you'll need a couple of coats of the colour you want, sanded between coats to get rid of any blemishes.

I've used laquer on mine too as it's a metalic car paint with needs to be laquered to be the right colout but by adding laquer you will make the paint more durable.

Make sure you spray in a clean area, nothing ruins a paint job more than bits of dust in the paint.

I've got a new unbranded housing on the way which I'll use to get rid of the orange logo, tempted to spray that one too, but in white like an iPod

the one you bought on tuesday should've been with you by now and isn't unbranded it's exactly the same direct replacement - unless you've got one somewhere else? The other hurricane cases don't quite a c550 BTW, the camera button is in the wrong place.
